August 22nd, 1862. Col. John H. Morgan asked Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest how he managed to successfully raid the garrison at Murfreesboro Tennessee even though the surrounding country was filled with Federal forces. General Forrest's reply would become part of American military folklore, "Oh, I just got there first with the most men".
