I love color harmonies that provoke a mood, says
artist Morgan Weistling.
While creating Lemon Girl, I was inspired by the juxtaposition
of the girl against the subtle greens and blues which ran through
the background.
When I paint, I prefer to suggest the form of my subject,
giving impressions of what I see so that the viewer can interpret
the painting for themselves. I regard this as my poem about the
Lemon Girl rather than my full-fledged novel. This allows the
viewer to fill in their own details, drawing them in as part
of the painting. |
